“When women are empowered in any way, the ripple effect is tremendous” - Siiri Morley

Last weekend, we were featured in The Boston Globe’s Business section. The article led the readers through the inception of Prosperity Candle, our sister organization, and delved into the emergence of Prosperity Catalyst. And we were pretty excited about the exposure!

It was indeed exciting to be featured in The Boston Globe, a newspaper with a weekly readership of more than 4.9 million in the Boston area. For a start-up like us, we are always excited to have a spread in such high-profile newspapers and magazines. We are always looking for opportunities to share our stories and raise awareness about female empowerment/entrepreneurship and Boston Globe is a great avenue for that!

Overall, the article managed to sum up the mission and vision of the two organizations very well. The Boston Globe’s correspondent Sarah Shemkus interviewed Moo Kho, one of Prosperity Candle’s candlers, Candle’s Co-founder and President, Ted Barber and Catalyst’s Co-founder and Executive Director, Siiri Morley. Each of them talked about what the organizations meant to them and how we have evolved over the years.

“We are very much focused on families escaping poverty through women’s entrepreneurship” - Ted Barber
