Our team at Fanm Limye is always looking for creative opportunities to celebrate and develop the skills of the apprentice entrepreneurs (AEs). Not only do we provide tools and training for a successful business enterprise, we also nurture an environment where the women can lead and guide each other.

Recently, Fanm Limye’s management staff has implemented a “LEADER OF THE WEEK” initiative, giving the AEs the opportunity for a rotating leadership role at Fanm Limye on a weekly basis. This initiative has allowed each woman to practice her individual leadership skills.

The response by the AEs to this initiative has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic. During one end-of-the-week assessment in which the Leader of the Week and the other AE’s meet together to discuss the week’s events, the chosen Leader was asked about her experience, and she stated:

“Being Leader of the Week gives me so much confidence, pride, and a sense of belonging to Fanm Limye…I am very thankful for having the opportunity to lead this group for one week because it helps me discover many inner characteristics that I never thought I had in me.”
