Our Approach

Prosperity Catalyst (PCat) economically and socially empowers women along the artisan value chain. In the countries where we work, we establish social enterprise hubs to assist women-led businesses in building their technical and business skills, gaining financing, and accessing new and lucrative markets for their products. The hubs also buy and promote products to sell in the local, regional, and international markets. The increased profit that businesses earn from our interventions allows women to transform their families and communities.

PCat also builds local and regional networks of women-led businesses. These networks allow women to improve their business relationships and amplify their voices around issues they care about, such as preventing gender-based violence, improving prices for their products, or providing higher quality education for their children.

Our goal is to leave behind a sustainable business hub that serves as a link between these networks of women and the markets that fuel their business growth and social gains.
